Exactly. I am giving them an answer to their question, not a place to
start looking for answers.

I know that. My obligation is to the question asker, not to every
single Linux distribution that may or may not fit his needs. I know of
something that works, I have not tested all the others.

Why stop there? I could say "most desktop-oriented and some
general-purpose GNUI/Linux distributions can do that, but I like and
can recommend Ubuntu which I have personal experience with, as opposed
to the other distros with which I am unfamiliar".

Then set your mailer set the proper header to have replies addressed
to the list. I don't know the whole story why the Linux-IL list
replies in a different fashion then the other forty lists that I am
subscribed to, and I don't really care. You can delete my messages as
much as you like, if I replied to you off-list than it was an accident
and if you want to be offended by that, you can do whatever you like
with the message. Most of what I need to say to you off-list I start
new threads for, not list replies, as I am sure you are well aware.

If you don't remember, I stood up for you were you were obviously in
the wrong regarding that issue. Furthermore, I wrote to you and told
you exactly where you were wrong so that you could learn from the
experience. I'm on your side, Shlomi, and when you ask my opinion (you
did) you will get an answer even if it isn't what you want to hear.

That's what I am interested in, barring extreme cases (such as the
case with Linux Mint).
