Linux kernel drivers and glibc on MS-Windows? (Running Linux software under Windows)

I have been using andLinux in the past (www.andlinux.org), and recently
moved to Portable Ubuntu (http://portableubuntu.demonccc.com.ar/).
Both are based on Ubuntu, but are not based on the latest versions.
They seem to work fine for me, but I use it only occasionally, and not for
demanding tasks.

I suggest you try pubuntu yourself, as I think it uses a more recent version
of Ubuntu.
If you like andlinux better, you should also look at SpeedLinux that
replaces the andLinux kernel with a more recent one (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/freetzlinux/).
("FreetzLinux" is the old project name).

Also note that currently you must use a 32-bit host O.S (64-bit Windows not
supported).
