Please note that there is a difference between the CPU and number of
clients scaling of MySQL and PostgreSQL. Also, questions that have to do
with the usual answers when comparing the two (such as the need for
ACID) also affect your question.

On an unrelated side note, the standard way to denote a signature is
with a sequence of "-- ", or dash-dash-space-newline. If you add a space
after the two dashes, most mailers will automatically detect the rest of
your mail as signature.
