What to tell 13 year old kids about Linux and Open Source?

In addition to what I said, you may also wish to note the fact that open-
source software tends to be more secure than its proprietary equivalents and 
is regularly updated using the system's package manager, and so there's a 
smaller chance of your machine being exploited and abused.
