The difference being that there is (I believe) a large intersection
between the people interested in Linux internals and in Android
internals, while the intersection with people interested in Fridge
internals is, I belive, lower.

I agree that there should be an Android mailing list, and would also be happy
to join it if someone creates one.
I'm not sure, though, how in this decade we can justify why an *English*
(not Hebrew) mailing list (not forum or some facebook crap) for *Israelis*
(not for the whole world) is what we need, and who will it be for (Just
developers and aspiring developer? Or everyone who yesterday got an Android
phone as a default through some deal? I would rather it be defined as
the former - a list of (at least) aspiring developers.)

This is almost like saying that Emacs questions are not related to
Linux, because it's just Lisp and special Emacs APIs... While Android is
very different from "GNU/Linux", it is Linux with a diffferent set of
applications, and much of the philosophy of its developers (although
unfortunately not all of it) is similar to that of Linux developers.

Why this separation into various kinds of developers? It's almost like
separating linux-il into separate mailing lists for Linux application
developers and Linux kernel developers, and perhaps further into Fedora
users, Ubuntu users, game players, and other subpopulations. I don't
think there's enough members or list traffic to justify such a division,
yet.
