help with ls command

I did it , but I got back a message saying that the attachment is too big and my mail is in standby.

Please give a little more verbose output, so we can see the context of these system calls.
By the way, nanosleep({64, 0}) means "sleep for 64 seconds". What happens after 64 seconds?
