disabling tmpfs on Mageia3

I just discovered that on my new Mageia3 installation, /tmp is in RAM
using tmpfs. I do understand that there are certain advantages to that,
but personally I see only disadvantages and want to disable it.
- tmpfs uses 1/2 of my RAM. I didn't buy a new machine with 8Gb to
end up with only 4Gb of usable RAM.
- The resulting /tmp is too small - only 4 Gb - not even enough for a
temporary image file in K3B. Sure, I know that I could define a
different location for temporary files, but why should I have to?
- I haven't tried it yet, but I'm pretty sure there will be a
negative effect on running virtual machines in Virtualbox.
I read on https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5616 that
this can be fixed in /usr/lib/systemd/system/tmp.mount
and /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/tmp.conf.
Before I do it, can anyone verify that it works and will not screw up
my box? Or is there another way?
