What do you mean by "doing this as well"? Not shipping GApps with their
android emulation? GApps is not OSS and the license sets very strict
standards that devices need to meet to be allowed to ship with GApps...

I'm happy my Jolla has none of them, yes it's sometimes annoying when I
want to get a free app from google play but I can ask friends/websites to
download the apk for me or install an alternative store I trust like Amazon
etc.
