I forgot to add, if the vm is in a working state you may be able to access it via ssh or cifs (remember to install vbox tools).
You would do that by using the vbox network interface (or any other network interface that had been setup to fwd traffic) if ssh is working inside the vm , don't forgot to setup up port forwarding.
Regarding the mount : input.vfi is just a name of your file (it should actually be input.vdi ) - never mount a live machine and if you do it will eat your cat and install win10 on your laptop.
To get the actual name from the VM_NAME use VBoxManage showvminfo VM_NAME | grep vdi
Don't know your OS but , the names are case sensitive and you need to work with the actual file used for the latest snapshot .
