76 raffle gifts and 22 Chinese auction gifts!!!!
That's a lot of gifts! Buy tickets and be a lucky winner. Maybe you'll win
a prize but you will most definitely do the mitzvah of hachnasat kallah
which makes you an automatic winner. All proceeds from the raffle and the
auction tickets and even the admission fee go straight to helping the
kallahs and therefore you can use your maaser money to purchase tickets and
admission.

Likrat Kallah is a local Hachnasat Kallah organization that helps kallahs
from financially strapped families by giving them 6 household items for
free-pot, pan, silverware, dishes, towels, bowls, knives, electric kettles,
sandwich makers, etc. Many of the kallahs who come to us are converts or
baalei teshuva. Others come from families with an ill family member and the
family's savings have been depleted. Others come from families with 17
children and just putting food on the table is a challange. Making a
wedding is an overwhelming experience and by providing these kallahs with
the basic household items, we are able to let up a little bit of the
pressure and help the family get the couple on its feet.

B"H, we have merited to help 1401 kallahs in this way over the last 7 years.
Our annual event is ever so important for the gemach to continue helping
these kallahs.

Remember the special merits of the mitzvah of Hachnasat Kallah. In the
words of Reb. Rothman from Neve Yerushalayim: If you want H-shem to help
you with your kallahs, you need to help H-shem with his kallahs. And of
course, the special merit of a refuah shelimah as explained by the Steipler
Gaon, zt"l in the morning prayer of Ailu Devarim She-adam Ochal
Perotahem..... Three mitzvoth are mentioned in the following order:
Visiting the sick, helping a needy bride and accompanying the deceased. The
Steipler explained that the mitzvah of Hachnasat Kallah has the power to be
a buffer between visiting the sick and accompanying the deceased and
therefore it is placed between the two. It empowers a refuah shleimah,
B'ezrat H-shem.

So, jump in and do the mitzvah. Come to the event-Nov. 9th a Beis Tefila,
Refaim 34 starting at 7:30. Admission is 35 nis or a new gift of equal or
more value. You'll enjoy an evening of sweets and salads and an
inspirational talk by Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky. ( and hopefully a few laughs as
well)

Tickets can be bought at the event or in advance by calling 050-909-4463.
In Givat Sharet, you can purchase tickets by Ruthie Berkley Rashi 1/2 b
