Creating a partion with mkfs.ntfs and not seeing it in windows 7 - why ?

What *do* you see in Disk Management?

6 is a logical partition (there can only be 4 primary partitions) - do you
see the Extended one, in which the logical one is supposed to appear, or...
what?
