Martial Arts classes for men, teenagers, and boys are starting up again at
Jo's Club.
I have been taking this class for the past year with my teenage son, and we
have found it very rewarding on many levels.
Classes are based on the traditional Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do.
Training in traditional martial arts is a proven way to learn discipline,
practice respect, improve concentration (which helps with school work and/or
job success), become more self-confident, gain self-control, and grow
emotionally while improve one's physical fitness.
The session begins with a free class on Thursday, August 27:
7:15-8:15 for boys age 9-11.
9:15-10:15 for teenagers and men
The instructor, Mr. Americus, has nearly 30 years experience training and
teaching martial arts in the USA and has been teaching in Israel during the
past year.
His experience includes the traditional martial arts of Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki
Do, Han Guk Mu Sool, self-defense, and related areas such as travel safety
(for the tourist or business traveler), and street safety.
Mr. Americus has taught children and adults, and is well known for
addressing the particular needs of his students.
