Basically the 417 will go mostly thru Beit and cut out most of Alef, and the
419 will go thru Alef (cutting out Beit and stops in BS )and then onto the
highway from the main entrance to RBS

It appears that the note I sent out yesterday regarding the new 419 bus
route was not understood by many people.  So in an effort to make things
easier to understand, here is some clarification.

Starting on January 3, 2010, everyone living in Ramat Beit Shemesh Alef
will still have bus service to the same stops they have always had.  If
you live on Nahal Kishon between the address numbers 1 and 40, you will
still have the same service from Route 417 and 418.

If you live anywhere else in Ramat Beit Shemesh Alef, you will still
have the same service as the 417, just the bus will now be the 419.  You
will also be able to continue using the 418 as before.

The 419 will follow the EXACT SAME ROUTE as the 417 from the foot of Luz
until the corner of Sorek.  The route will be
Luz-Refaim-Maor-Dolev-Ayalon-Sorek just as it is now.  But when it hits
the corner of Sorek and Kishon, it will continue to the end of Sorek,
then turn left onto Arugot, right onto Ein Gedi, left onto Hever and
right onto Tze'elim to leave RBS toward the highway.  This will cut
10-15 minutes off the travel time to Jerusalem.
