Morning Rush Hour Test on Route 1 Starts Tuesday


(IsraelNN.com) Starting Tuesday between 6:30 and 9:30 am, tractor trailers and other heavy vehicles will be prohibited on Route 1, the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway between the Sha'ar Hagai interchange and the entrance to the capital.
The ban is part of an attempt by the Ministry of Transportation to reduce congestion on the highway during the morning rush hour. Heavy vehicles leaving the capital will be diverted to Highway 443.
