There are 3 lots with free shuttles to the Kotel - Teddy, Ammunition Hill
and Leum (on Derech Rabin). The first 2 have free parking as well, Leum is
20 nis.

We parked at the "Leum" lot today - arrived just after noon, and the shuttle
to Dung Gate was only 25 minutes. We were at the Kotel by 1:30. The
shuttles drop off and pick up above Dung Gate at the last bus stop there.

Getting back wasn't great - shuttles arrived infrequently, which made buses
crowded. And the drivers are not from the area so in our case (3 pm) the
drive took over an hour - some due to traffic but also due to a roundabout
route and driver indecision.

But we'd probably do it again the same way - just keep in mind that the
return can take an hour beyond reasonable calculations between
waiting, traffic and slow driving. Also it might feel tense when the
shuttles first pull up, but don't worry they do seem to wait for everyone to
find the right bus and get on.

Good luck,
Ellen
