I have had many requests asking for the Matan Beit Shemesh schedule again.
Here it is – there is something for everyone…

SUNDAY MORNINGS: 9 – 10:15: "Hassidut B'Maagal Hashana"
A new course by Orli Malkiel: (In Hebrew)

Hassidut and Spiritual Renewal – Insights from Hassidic writings that
inspire us and guide us to personal change and growth.

Venue: Netzach Menashe, Rechov Reuven, Givat Sharett

The workshops will be given by Orli Malkiel in Hebrew.
Orli Malkiel has an MA in Tanach and an MA as an Educational Guidance
Counselor. She combines her psychology background and deep knowledge of
Jewish texts to empower the participants in her shiurim and workshops to
deal with life's challenges and to use them as opportunities for personal
and spiritual growth.

MONDAY MORNINGS: A new course will begin in November. By Michelle Lewis.
"Filling in the Gaps"

For intelligent educated women who didn't get a comprehensive Jewish
education. The course covers the development of Jewish thought from Tanach
through the Oral Torah within historical context. Study of texts to
demonstrate each layer. Details coming.

Directions: If you are travelling down Nachal Tzeelim on your way out of RBS
(ie: towards road 38) then take the first turn to the right. That is Nachal
David. It is a brick paved road. You are going to the last house on the
right side! You need to go up the staircase to the entrance of the house.

 Exegesis and Tradition - From the Pasuk to the Psak (Hebrew)

 Mini - series (8 parts).  (First shiur took place in Ellul program (8
September))

This is a high level shiur. There are a couple of places left but we want to
keep the group small and the level high – please tell friends for whom it
might be appropriate.

How did chazal think? The course will deal with the Mitzvot in the Written
Torah and the way they were defined in the Oral Torah. We willdevote much
attention to the relation between exegesis and tradition as important tools
that guided Chazal.
