Kehillat Ahavat Tzion is proud to sponsor an evening with Joanne Caras, editor of The Holocaust Survivor Cookbook.
Join us Thursday, Or le 2 Shevat (January 6), at 20:45 (Maariv at 20:30) at the shul, 2 Nachal Timna, Ramat Beit Shemesh.

Inspired to raise money for a Jerusalem open restaurant feeding over 700 Israelis a day - a number of them Survivors, Joanne and her family spent two years collecting recipes from around the world.

Each Survivor contributed a story, photos and a recipe that reminded them of a time before the war or helped them get through it. The results are incredible - a most amazing collection of life, hope and home.

Joanne will share with us how the cookbook was created and relate several of the most moving and miraculous stories that appear in the book.

You may read more about the book and Joanne here <http://www.survivorcookbook.org/>.

“Each story is a miracle," she says. Holocaust Survivor Cookbooks cost 150NIS with all sales going directly to charity - both to KAT and to the restaurant! It makes a great gift. (If you cannot make it to the event, but would like to purchase a book, please email shoshanna at carmeihair.org.il).

Joanne is happy to sign each book purchased.
*The event will be in English.*

Please come out to hear amazing stories, purchase this wonderful book and support KAT and Carmei Ha'Ir.
*There will be a suggested donation of 10NIS at the door.*

We are looking for volunteers to make desserts from the cookbook to be served at the event, please contact Shoshanna at skjaskoll at gmail.com
Please share this with other lists and people who may be interested.

 See you there!
