Many of you have expressed concern about how to present your objections at
tomorrow's hearing with the Regional Planning Committee.

Tips:
Come early as possible.
Bring a notebook, pen
Speak calmly, clearly, forcefully
Bring photographs of the problems - can submit to the committee
You may be asked questions for clarification.

1. Share your personal story - why you moved to Beit Shemesh, what you love
about it, what your vision is for the future of the City, how you see your
children nearby in the future...
2. Pick an angle - think of what are your daily frustrations with the way BS
is developing, such as:
Lack of Access (to roads, schools, commercial, spiritual/religious places)
Lack of maintenance, infrastructure, parks
Lack of services (cultural, sport, informal education)
Preservation of pluralistic community; multi-cultural/heterogeneous society
Need for socio-economic balance
Poor planning of xxxxx (and how adding more residential units will affect
that..)
Trust in ability of City to be stewards to protect natural sites
Meet needs of current residents before adding new...
Conservation of open, green spaces, heritage sites, biblical sites
Opportunity to do things right if not rushed; missed opportunities of
previous planning
