Today we are not in a state of emergency.
The country is not at war, no earthquakes are expected, nor mass evacuations
of civilians... BH!
However, ANY of these can happen, chas vechalila, at any time.
And this IS the time to be preparing for a National Emergency.
Lema'an Achai is a part of the city-wide cooperation with the IDF Home
Guard, and has already participated in several National
EmergencyPreparedness Excercises.
Among Lema'an Achai's tasks is to retain a roster of volunteers who can be
called upon in a time of emergency to volunteer their time and skills
(depending on the circumstances).
For this purpose (only) please will you consider volunteering for the
Lema'an Achai Emergency Response Team?
Skills we would (probably) need are organizational, communications, mental
health, logistics, and a good number of reliable hands-on helpers (injuns!).
