[RBS] Park in honor of Lisa Latchaw z"l

Dear Kehilla and neighbors, 

About one year ago, after Lisa's passing, we began an initiative to dedicate the Ramat Shilo park in her name, as a beautiful and positive way to remember her.  Various ideas were raised regarding what our contribution can be to the park in order to really make it Lisa's Park. We met with the mayor and misrad hashikun who were working on the park. The iriya and misrad hashikun had already completed plans for the park, and we were reluctant to delay installation of the park (after having waited for more than three years to have a park!) so we were unable to add or change existing park equipment. We decided that the most beneficial addition we could make to the park would be shade over the play areas and possibly over the park benches - I'm sure you'd agree that this is essential for our kids during the summer. We did some shopping around for prices and chose the most suitable and reasonable price quote (details can be obtained from me). The total cost is 62,500 NIS for shade over the two play areas. We have about half of the amount and we need to raise around 35,000 NIS for the remainder.

Now that  we are coming up to Lisa's yahrzeit, we think it's the most appropriate time to make the dedication. We would appreciate any sum of money you can donate towards this initiative. Donations can be made in cash or by check to Amutat Ramat Shilo. American checks can me made out to Central Fund of Israel, memo: Ramat Shilo, Lisa's Park.  Pound checks can be made out to UKToremet, with a note letting us know it is specifically for Lisa's Park.
