THE HARM CAUSED BY
WEARING
SHATNEZ !

 

A) TEFILlOS ARE NOT
ACCEPTED WHILE WEARING SHATNEZ:

 

The sefer,
Shalmei Tzibur (Dinei Netilas Yadayim Shacharis No.2.) writes that

nothing prevents
the acceptance of a person's tefillos more than wearing a garment

that contains shatnez
during tefillos, even if he is doing so inadvertently.

B) YESHUOS ARE IMPEDED
WHILE WEARING SHATNEZ:

 

Apart from
standing in
the
way of midas harachmim, wearing shatnez can actually

cause a
strengthening of midas hadin (strict judgment). The Mekubalim write
that

if certain Malachim
of prosecution would join forces they would level very strong

accusations
against Klal Yisroel. However, Hashem in His mercy holds them
apart

so that they
cannot join forces. This kind intervention on the part of Hashem

occurs when Klal
Yisroel themselves keep separate that which they have been

commanded not to
mix. However, if they wear shatnez and mix together what

should have been
kept apart, Hashem likewise allows the negative Malachim to

join forces - to
the detriment of Klal Yisroel - See Meam Loez, Vayikra page 213

in the name of Maharam
