[RBS] beware shipping elecronics to israel

My husband bought a tiny electrical device for which he paid $200 plus $40
shipping. It was stopped by Customs.

 

He was charged by Meches a total of 300 shekels (there was VAT on the
Meches!! Now THAT's something!). They assessed the amount based not only on
the price he paid for the product, but ALSO ON THE SHIPPING FEE!!

 

Ouch.
