[RBS] INFO4U-- Finance Minster signs order to Ease Customs and Purchase Taxes

Finance Minister, Yuval Steinitz, today signed the order to abolish Customs duties and some Sales tax on small personal  imports through the mail.  Full taxes still apply if the value of the goods + shipping exceed $325 or you carry the goods into the country.
VAT (16%) still applies.  Purchase tax may still apply i.e. for videos, CD's, DVD's, and  some goods over $75.

Conditions:  Goods + shipping does not exceed $325.
Via mail or courier and for  your personal use.

Major items affected: sports supplies, clothing, shoes and computer games.   Goods up to $75 are exempt from Customs duties and Sales tax.
