[RBS] Question about Israeli passport

Can someone please help me with the following:I am looking to getting an Israeli passport for the first time. We have been using a teudat maavar until now.On the website it shows you can get a regular passport or get a biometric passport.What is the advantage of a biometric passport?The regular passport seems easier to obtain as the form is filled out online?Any thoughts?Thanks,DaveRBSA
