You develop in Linux and are looking for work, and are requested to provide CV as a .doc file - what would you do?

I would suggest a simple thing, and it's pretty simple, considered that
you're a programmer :)

Build a simple web site for yourself, that will have an input field where
you'll put an email address, and a drop down menu for various "cover
letters".

Anyone you want to send an email to, go to this web site, enter his email,
select cover letter and click "send". This "send" button will trigger a
simple PHP/Perl/Shell function which will send an email with your CV in word
format (Open Office can convert your CV to this format) and with the
selected cover letter.

That way they'll be happy :)

Thanks,
Hetz
