Hi
Why not to use Zimbra? It has open source edition and with z-push you can synchronize it with mobile.

Subject: linux mapi server

Hello

I have installed the new android (ics) on my phone, and it does not let me keep contacts on the phone.
only synced with google account or exchange

i do not want my contacts saved on gmail. the only other option is using an exchange server.

if i understand correctly, this means mapi server.

i have a small linux box in my dmz which runs debian. it has no screen or keyboard and i can only connect via ssh.

i use it as an imap4 & smtp server for my domain.

i want to add the other fetures so i can store contacts for my android on it
i would like as well it it is possible to store caleneder events on it.

i saw there is the open-exchange server. however i didn't see it support non x86 and it seems a too big solusion for my requirements.

anybody knows of somthing simpler ?

thanks,
erez.
